Spotify’s live audio Greenroom app has been renamed Spotify Live and integrated into the main Spotify app.
In a statement announcing the rebranding, Spotify said, “This shift represents our belief in the future of live-audio creators and live experiences being given to all 406 million Spotify subscribers around the world.”
For the time being, creators are limited to a few podcasters and musicians who have Spotify shows and tracks.
Listeners can access live programming from the creator’s podcast or artist page, but they must use the separate redesigned Spotify Live app to engage in the chat or join the host onstage.
Independent creators who wish to go live on the Spotify Live app must do so as well.

As part of Spotify’s celebration of Swedish House Mafia’s reunion and the release of their new album, Paradise Again, fans in certain regions will be able to listen to a live DJ performance on the band’s artist page.

Waka Flocka Flame Is A Guest On DJ Akademiks’ Livestream
DJ Akademiks is a well-known talk show host, and his podcast, Off the Record with DJ Akademiks, is now available on Spotify.
